The population of Eastern Ontario is projected to experience the fastest growth in all of Ontario over the next 25 years.

The region - spanning west to east from Peterborough to Ottawa and north to south from Algonquin Provincial Park to the Seaway Walley –is expected to see 35.2% population growth by 2051. This outpaces growth in any other region, including the GTA (22%).

The 2025 Eastern Ontario Housing Summit will look at population growth and housing demand in the region, building the right mix of homes, and getting the infrastructure your community needs for residents, now and in the future.

The Ontario Home Builders’ Association Eastern Ontario Regional Group consists of 7 HBAs – Cornwall, Haliburton County, Kingston-Frontenac, Lanark-Leeds, Greater Ottawa, Peterborough and the Kawarthas, and Quinte. These HBAs are home to over 800 firms in the residential construction and professional renovation industry.

Last year’s Summit saw over 300 attendees - representing over 35 municipalities across the region – and we hope to see you again this year!
